| Masai Elementary School Introduction | Masai is an elementary school located in Suao Township just south of Luodong. Suao is a beautiful and slightly more rural part of Yilan County that is known for its cold springs and proximity to the ocean. Nanfang Ao harbor, Dongshan park, Wu Lao Mountain Stream, Wewuigang Bird Sanctuary, Qixingling mountains, and other beautiful scenic areas are just a short drive away from MaSai’s campus. Facilities The campus is magnificent and big enough to hold the roughly 350 students that attend Masai each year. It boasts a large indoor gymnasium that is fully equipped with exercise equipment, basketball courts, soccer goals, badminton nets, a baseball batting cage area, and boxing equipment. Masai also have a new orchestra room with special walls to help the acoustics when students are practicing their next performance. Extracurriculars Masai is best known for its top badminton team which turns out some of the best players in the county and in the nation. They also have a baseball team, Orchestra, and other extracurricular activities for students to participate in. Environment Best of all, Masai has a welcome, supporting environment with close collaboration between teachers, administrators, and parents. They are richly ingrained in Suao and offer reciprocating support with the broader community. The students are upbeat and happy, ready to learn and eager to welcome new faces at school. | ||
